Conceits
This nine (9) piece series consists of 1/8" thick stainless steel plate that has been laser-cut and bead blasted. Very soft copper is pushed through producing a repousse image on recto side, and is burnished. According to Tao-te ching: ”One has given birth to two, two has give birth to three, three has give birth to all numbers. In musical terms the original sound produces its octave giving duality, then a third sound, the fifth, from which all other sounds are born. The individual names are based on the Sanskrit scale system.
